WHERE TO SIT
Every bar hears the same stage, and the whole hall is air-conditioned, so what changes is how close you are. The entrance bars are for watching the crowd, the middle bars for a chat, the back bars for the music. Only one has seats along the stage edge and a Guinness tap: KQ Bar, bar 10, right of the stage. Pick by what you want, or walk the length once and decide.
Early evening, from six, the courtyard is quiet and you can have any seat you like. By 10 PM in high season the back is full and the stage-side seats went an hour ago. The band plays Wednesday to Sunday; Monday and Tuesday are DJ nights on the same stage, and the quietest for a table. Unlike Walking Street, nobody here is paid to pull you in, and there is no cover charge at any of the ten bars.

The central stage starts at 8 PM every night. Wednesday to Sunday it's the house band, MHz Band Thailand: rock covers, pop classics, the songs the whole hall knows. Monday and Tuesday the complex's DJ takes the same stage, and the room is easier to get a seat in.
